Øystein is a highly qualified and accomplished scientist having studied Veterinary Medicine, with a PhD in Immunogentics, he went on to become a Professor of Genetics at Norway’s School of Vetrinary Science. He is the founder of the breeding company GenoMar, serving as CEO for 11 years to 2007. He then went on to found and manage the marine innovation network MarLife, after which he set up the global marine investment fund, Holberg Triton. He then became the Dean of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, and the Director of Science, Technology, and Innovation for the North Atlantic Seafood Forum. Øystein resides in Oslo.
